1) Happy New Year!

Ok, so we are nearly in February, but Happy New Year to you all anyway! Let's all try to make 2007 an even better effort than last year to serve the Lord faithfully.

We've just taken on some more helpers here at BibleQuizzes.org.uk, which hopefully means that you'll see more new stuff, more often. We've started with a new general Bible crossword, and a new crossword on Creation. On top of that we've just added a new Bible Quiz - Money and Possessions - 20 questions to test your Bible knowledge relating to the stuff that makes the world go round.

The quiz scripts have also been altered to allow for references and explanations to be shown with the answers. We'll slowly update all the quizzes to take advantage of this over the coming months.

In May 1948 David Ben Gurion stood up in the Library in Tel Aviv to declare the State of Israel re-established. It was the end of a remarkable process but, more amazingly still, it was the very thing that had been predicted by the prophets thousands of years before. The Jewish people were back in their ancient land.

The prophets had foretold that after the Jews were scattered throughout the earth, into every nation, they would eventually return to a desolate and unfruitful land.

They were destined to inhabit it, and make the land fruitful and fertile once again. That was the Jewish destiny according to the prophets and it was a vital first step in a process that would herald the return of their King — the Jewish Messiah, who would now save them from their enemies....
